Q10 (also known as Ubichinon) as a nutrition supplement or in cosmetical applications functions as an antioxidant, which protects cells from damage. Antioxidants fight damaging particles in the body known as free radicals, which damage cell membranes, tamper with DNA, and even cause cell death. It also plays an important part in the metabolism. It helps convert food into energy. Q10 is found in almost every cell in the body.
